June 11, 2009 - I had a few things that I wanted to let all of you know about. First, I'm working on redoing the website after it was hacked into. Someone was sending spam from my website email. If you received any of these messages, I apologize. It should be fixed now, though. Anyways, there are some broken links on the site at this time, which I hope to have fixed in the next week. On a brighter note, my husband and I are expecting our first child on July 12th! I'm taking several months off from performing, but plan to return to it in October. Will keep you posted!
April 9, 2009 - So I was updating my music profile on a few sites and found out that I'd been nominated for a 2008 Fame Games Effigy Award for Best Artist in Pop. Anyways, just thought that was kind of neat and wanted to share.
March 22, 2009 - The first review of "Rebirth" has been published in SoulMatters Magazine! Reviewer, Cheryl Thompson, writes, "Hamilton has a wonderful ability to not let her voice overpower the subtleness of her piano arrangement and even if this is not your genre, you can't help but be drawn into each track . . . March 19, 2009 - "Rain" made it into URB Magazine's Next 1000 Competition and is featured on their homepage at www.urb.com/next1000 until next Tuesday. Please vote for it if you get the chance! Voting goes on indefinitely. The Fugees, TV on the Radio and Kid Sister all received early coverage in URB's Next 1000.
March 13, 2009 - "You'll Rise Above" has been chosen for broadcast on The Songwriter's Network. It will debut on their live stream on Saturday, March 14th from 6-11 PM EST.
November 26, 2008 - My second album, Rebirth, is now available! In addition to having it for sale at my shows, it is available online at DFJamsStore.com and in MP3 format through BETA Records. Over the next couple of months, it will be available through iTunes and several other digital store.
I've started booking some shows. My next one is on December 19th at Border's in Cary, NC (off of Walnut Street) at 7:00PM. I'll be doing some originals and holiday music in the coffeeshop area. Hope to see you there!
November 2, 2008 - After some thought, I decided that it would be best to have some CD's pressed that I could sell at shows. I sent off the order for the initial pressing last week and should have them in several weeks from now. Sorry about the delay in getting the CD out. Once I get the CD's in, I'm going to set up a digital shop with CDBaby where the songs will be available as MP3's through iTunes, Napster, etc. I'll also have some CD's for sale through DFJamsStore.com for anyone who will not be able to attend the shows.
In other news, 55.9 Online Radio is playing "Prayer" in the rotation.
September 17, 2008 - I have a few new updates . . .
Just posted a video slideshow on the Goodies page for "You'll Rise Above".
I'm working on some merchandise through CafePress.com. Right now, there are a few items available for purchase. No clothing for guys yet, but there will be soon. (Haven't figured out a good design for ya'll yet!)
I decided to use CreateSpace.com for on-demand manufacturing of the new CD, Rebirth. I've submitted the final tracks/album art and should receive the proof soon. Then it will be ready for sale! I'll probably have the songs available digitally through iTunes. Stay tuned . . .
